The Admissions Supervisor performs department-specific, assigned quality-related tasks under the direction of the Director of Admissions/Intake.Â They provide support, training, guidance, coordinate and monitor activities and assignments, determine the competence of other Intake staff.Â They perform tasks in the absence of the Director of Admissions/Intake.
The Admissions Supervisor is responsible for being able to perform all aspects of Central Florida Behavioral Hospitalâ€™s intake and admission process, including efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, knowledge of and communication with referral sources; providing hospital and program information to individuals, agencies, facilities, and professionals; making outside referrals, when appropriate; assessing and triaging an individualâ€™s mental health status; making patient safety and level of care recommendations to the CFBH physician; identifying insurance benefits, pre-certification of patient care; completing all admission requirements; communicating patient safety concerns and pertinent patient information to unit nursing staff and documenting all necessary information in Med Series 4.Â Â
