Witt/Kieffer has been retained by North Country Healthcare based in New Hampshire to assist in the recruitment of their next Chief Executive Officer (CEO.) North Country Healthcare (NCH), created in 2014, is a unique and highly innovative, health care system that includes four critical access hospitals and a homecare and hospice organization with over 1,400 employees, serving the residents and patients of Northern New Hampshire.
NCH is searching for an experienced, dynamic talented leader as its next President and CEO. This is an exceptional, once in a career opportunity to oversee the growth and development of a health system that will provide value in delivering access to affordable, high quality, population based health care in a geographically expansive region. The President and CEO will work with the entity presidents and medical leadership to ensure that NCH and its communities will work through change processes in the way healthcare services are delivered in a rural region where access to quality care is vital.
Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) in Berlin, Littleton Regional Healthcare (LRHC) in Littleton, Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital (UCVH) in Colebrook, Weeks Medical Center (WMC) in Lancaster, and North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency (NCHHHA) in Littleton are members of North Country Healthcare (NCH). This healthcare system services northern Grafton County and all of Coos County and is the largest employer in the North Country with over 1,400 staff. NCH includes a network of approximately 300 providers. With approximately $200 million in combined net revenue, NCH is dedicated to providing healthcare services to the people of northern New Hampshire and the surrounding communities. This organization enjoys a collaborative, collegial environment within the system and with member organizations as well as support from key legislators and regulators in the state of New Hampshire.
We seek an inspirational leader who is both visible and engaging. It is critical for the next CEO to have experience integrating programs and services that have enhanced community access to high quality health care. She/he should have experience as a culture and system builder. Of vital importance is identifying a leader with a demonstrated track record of building effective, trusting relationships and effectively convening others around common goals. This person must be knowledgeable about trends in healthcare and hospitals, act as the advocate for legislation and regulations that would be beneficial, and position this system for success within a rapidly changing payment and delivery environment.
We welcome recommendations and nominations of qualified candidates. For more information, please contact Paul Bohne and Julie Rosen through the office of Melaney Arruda at NorthCountryHealthcareCEO@wittkieffer.com or 781.564/2629.
