Garland Behavioral HospitalÂ is seekingÂ a dynamic and talented IOP/ PHPÂ Registered NurseÂ with a strong area of expertise with Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient ProgramÂ to join our team in developing quality services consistent with our philosophy to serve Garland and the surrounding communities. OurÂ Registered NursesÂ also assist patients by using therapeutic treatment skills to help them achieve their optimal level of emotional health. Under the guidance of the Clinical Services Director and Chief Nursing Officer, the Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating the nursing care provided for the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Program.
This is a fulltime position Monday thru Friday 8:30am-5pm
Complete nursing assessment within one (1) visit.
Within three (3) visits, a plan of care initiated that includes data obtained from the written nursing assessment and nursing interventions.
Accurately process and carry out all physiciansâ€™ orders in a timely manner.
Communicate with clinical staff pertinent information received from family members
Provide patient/family education regarding medications.
Communicate with patients medication changes recommended by physician.
Supervise self-administration of medication by patients.
Document discharge instructions including food and drug interactions, diet and activities as appropriate.
Submit patient infection reports to hospital Infection Control Coordinator
Follow-up contact for patients absent from program.
Complete all utilization reviews as scheduled and communicate coverage to treatment team.
Maintains MIDAS database for utilization review documentation.
