The EMR Specialists Program Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of EMR Specialists that are working within each of the IPM Markets to drive consistency in clinic workflows and business processes that will help the Market maximize treatment and enhance patient satisfaction.Â The EMR Specialists Program Supervisor serves as a liaison between Market Leadership and Corporate leadership to oversee tasks that will enhance the overall EMR continuum.Â The EMR Specialists Program Supervisor supervises the relationship along with a full assessment and understanding of each Marketâ€™s clinic workflow, including a thorough understanding of systems, processes and enterprise level initiatives.Â The EMR Specialist Program Supervisor identifies gaps, ensures that â€œbest practiceâ€� workflows are trained and implemented to drive consistency across all markets and that key metrics are captured, shared and trended.Â The EMR Specialist Program Supervisor coaches counsels and mentors the EMR Specialists to provide superior support that will drive optimal performance and results across the IPM markets. The EMR Specialist Program Supervisor also actively participates in corporate driven initiatives, participating as the main role between corporate policies and localized workflows.
Essential job duties include:
Develops key performance indicators (KPIs)/dashboard with IPM market leadership to identify trends, track results and identify opportunities for process improvement, enhanced performance and maximized patient satisfaction. Focus will be on clinic workflows that will improve and accelerate processes to achieve higher productivity, faster payments, decreased rework and improved patient services. Establish Market goals to support the business objectives established by IPM.
Captures feedback from the EMR Specialists related to process gaps.Â Plans and coordinates process improvement efforts while driving standardization of workflows (best practices).Â Effectively communicates process change and solutions to IPM leadership and Market stakeholders.Â
Participates in corporate driven initiatives, participating as the main role between corporate policies and localized workflows.
Demonstrates excellent initiative and judgment. Works independently applying effective approaches to task prioritization, time management, delegation of tasks and meeting deadlines. Exhibits outstanding decision making and customer service.
Conducts bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with direct reports to provide a structured time to provide coaching, discuss accomplishments and review the status of IPM operations within their scope of responsibility.Â Discuss areas of professional development as well as goal tracking/reporting, projects and other pertinent topics. Maintains comprehensive and concise documentation of the one on one sessions, next steps and expectations. Promotes accountability and ownership.Â Sets appropriate standards of performance and communicates clear expectations to the Revenue Cycle Specialists. Shows direct and tangible evidence of coaching, mentoring and professional development.
Responsible new hire onboarding including, but not limited to, system training and support workflows.Â Prepares well thought-out and meaningful performance appraisals for direct reports.Â Provides tangible examples of work performance/behaviors that are well documented in the annual appraisal.Â Uses the appraisal to both summarize performance as well as focus on opportunities for improvement and recognizing performance that exceeds expectations.
