Under general supervision of the Facility Services Director and according to established procedures, performs repairs and maintenance of hospital equipment and plumbing fixtures. This includes preventive maintenance of the facility and cleaning of all equipment. Repair and installation of plumbing, waste lines, fixtures and equipment. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational/technical schooling preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Mechanical Trades license required. Valid New Mexico driver's license.
SKILLS: Soldering and welding, pipe fitting, boiler controls, plumbing systems, mechanical and electrical knowledge.
EXPERIENCE: Five years commercial plumbing service experience or three years commercial plumbing experience with a two-year associate degree required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Heavy effort is required. Must be capable of lifting and carrying 100 lbs. Must be able to climb and work from ladders up to ten feet in height. Eyesight, hearing and coordination must be good. Must be physically able to operate motorized vehicles with proper licenses
