The Program Therapist/PRN-Therapist perform social service functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs through enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills and achieve their optimal level of emotional health and stability.Â In addition, the program therapist will provide basic consultation, teaching, individual and group therapy, family sessions, and crisis intervention services. Furthermore, they are an active participant in providing information and initiating referral services for the patientsâ€™ served.
Additional Requirements: Handle with Care training must be completed within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures.Â Competencies will be administered within 90 days of hire and annually via test taking, return demonstration, or the use of simulation.Â Required to work flexible hours, overtime for hourly staff, some holidays, and weekends.Â TB Test and CPR certification must be completed prior to working with patients.Â Must have knowledge of CMS, TJC, TAC, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.
