The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Section Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology. This is a full-time position offered as an endowed chair at the associate/full professor level. The individual will work collaboratively with members of the Section of Pediatric Pulmonology and multidisciplinary team to provide patient care along with academic responsibilities. Our ideal candidate will have leadership experience in an academic setting and embrace the opportunity to guide our program. Our busy pulmonology section offers an array of comprehensive pulmonary services in a pediatric tertiary care setting. The Pediatric Pulmonary and Cystic Fibrosis Center is the only certified cystic fibrosis center in Oklahoma and offers care for patients of any age.
The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center has 314 inpatient beds and is the only freestanding pediatric hospital in Oklahoma solely dedicated to the treatment of children. The Department of Pediatrics is composed of 15 sections and over 200 faculty members focused on the scholarly delivery of clinical service, the teaching of students and housestaff and the development of applied and basic knowledge through research. We work closely with several research institutions, such as the Children's Hospital Foundation and the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation to support the advancement of research in childhood disease.
