Laurel Heights Hospital, a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility for children and adolescents, is seeking a FT, exempt, Therapist who will carry a caseload that consists of patients from each of our PRTF units, which encompasses males and females, ages 6-18 years of age, varied diagnoses and psychological or emotional problems, such as: trauma, abandonment, PTSD, substance abuse, and challenging family situations and develops and implements therapeutic treatment plan in residential setting in compliance with state, federal, agency and all other applicable rules and regulations. This position will be responsible for individual and family therapy weekly along with completion of all documentation within a 24 hour time period. In addition, to providing therapy services, case management and discharge planning experience are critical to providing comprehensive care. This individual needs to have prior experience working with different populations as well as patients who have developmental disabilities and have experienced significant trauma. In addition, this person will be able to work and provide supervision to direct care staff regarding, behavior plans, interventions, how to provide group therapy, and how to provide a therapeutic milieu for this challenging population.
