Planning - Assists with the planning and yearly needs assessment for the unit's budget.
Under the supervision of the manager, monitors patient care activities within budget, monitors daily census and staff usage, monitors use of premium labor.
Cost Control - Identifies cost reduction opportunities on a regular basis and recommends implementation when necessary.
Capital Equipment/Procurement - Participates in the selection of vendors for needed services.
Department Charges - Oversees the daily charging process and assures staff education and participation in the appropriate assignment of patient charges, as applicable.
Displays positive traits and qualities needed for a successful supervisor; has the ability to work with changes in the environment and participate as a team player. Assures safe department operation between shifts.
Continuously strives to improve department services and organizational performance. Ensures smooth daily operations.

Assists Director/Manager as needed with department operational responsibilities including accurate and timely input of employee hours and QA data collection.
