The Clinical Supervisor for ER is a registered nurse (RN) with advanced leadership skills and is responsible for the coordination of unit operations for all shift. In this leadership role, the CS promotes collaboration among all members of the interdisciplinary team, facilitates patient care delivery and timeliness of service, role models and promotes excellent customer service, prevents and/or resolves conflict and overall provides for an optimal patient care and work environment. In the absence of the Director, the CS makes unit decisions in collaboration with the CNO and/or other Directors.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Minimum of at least 2 years of direct care experience as an RN charge nurse
Holds a current license to practice in State of Louisiana
TNCC not required for performance but is encouraged
Telemetry experience preferred
Must be able to work independently and multitask
Must have good organizational and time management skills
Relates well to subordinates
Posesses strong clinical skills and critical thinking ability
