The Executive Director, Multiple Myeloma Marketing is a key member of the US Commercial Leadership team; focused on leading a team of marketing managers and maximizing the commercial potential of Celgene’s industry leading Multiple Myeloma franchise. (Revlimid and Pomalyst).
Build and continue to develop a strong team of brand directors and product managers tasked with developing and executing brand strategy for Revlimid and Pomalyst
Lead the strategic marketing for the US Multiple Myeloma franchise, including maximizing long-term disease strategy, financial forecasts, analysis and brand positioning.
Drive commercial innovation within the Multiple Myeloma franchise
Work closely with sales leadership in order to develop and align on execution of brand marketing strategy
Active engagement with legal and regulatory partners and sound understanding of the US regulatory and commercial compliance environment
Provide strategic leadership to the Multiple Myeloma Global Disease Team (GDT), as well as active participation on the Global Project Team (GPT) for both Revlimid and Pomalyst
Provide marketing direction at all stages of development and decision-making; including proposed markets, positioning, forecasting, pricing strategies, Phase II/III/IV projects, life-cycle management and scientific / promotional communications
Work with Medical Affairs to translate needs in the multiple myeloma market into prioritized Open Research Questions (ORQs) for the brands • Manage annual Multiple Myeloma franchise (Revlimid, Pomalyst, Disease Leadership) promotional budgets and determine the best allocation of resources for the brand/indication/franchise.
Lead the 3-year strategic brand planning process and 1-year tactical planning for both Revlimid and Pomalyst
Work with HQ legal, regulatory, medical affairs, scientific communications, market research, clinical development, & translational medicine to ensure global alignment of the proposed strategy.
Monitor the competitive environment and customer base to develop insights and quickly identify opportunities and threats within the multiple myeloma market.
Lead the development/management of relationships with key professional and patient advocacy organizations.
Develop and deliver presentations to senior management and other internal/external stakeholders.
Work with business development to provide commercial input and conduct due diligence
BA/BS required; MBA preferred
Must have experience managing high performing teams
Strong US marketing experience with a track record of successfully managing large brands required
Must demonstrate ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, inform, negotiate and collaborate.
Strong science background with deep knowledge of specialty markets preferred.
Effective communication at all times. Experience in delivering complex messages to various internal and external customers with a track record of effective and influential presentations.
Demonstrated initiative, creativity, strategic capabilities, and ability to work effectively in complex, rapidly changing environments
Strong project and process management skills, along with the ability to work on multiple tasks, and to effectively prioritize.
Must be able to conceptualize and articulate a vision for self and brand that energizes all functional areas and stakeholders.
Proven team player with ability to navigate cross functionally.
Ability to interact with, influence and provide direction to multiple functions as part of the global disease team
Successful candidate should have at least 10+ years industry experience with 5+ years of specialty sales & marketing experience.
