REQUIREMENTS: (1) Professional accredited nursing degree; (2) Active unrestricted professional nurse registration; (3) At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector which demonstrates experience providing nursing care to women of childbearing age and newborn infants; Assessing actual and potential health problems considering social, cultural, psychological and physiological data; Collecting data and evaluating the health status of pregnant women and infants (fetus); Formulating individualized patient plan of care which may include observation, vital signs and fetal monitoring OR completed all requirements for a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent); OR three full years of progressively high level graduate education OR combination; (4) U.S. citizenship; (5) Maintain current Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP). Graduate level education must have been in nursing with a concentration in a field of nursing or in a closely related non-nursing field directly applicable to the requirements of the position.
