Seeking a licensed therapist to lead treatment for small caseload of 6-8 children/adolescents in 72 bed private, non-profit Psychiatric Residential Treatment Center in Norfolk/Virginia Beach.
The Barry Robinson Center specializes in serving those who serve us – our Nation’s Military Families.
The successful candidate will
Be licensed as a LCSW, LMFT, or LPC
Be trained in Family Therapy,
Be knowledgeable about Family Dynamics and Systems Theory
Enjoy working with Families
Know Residential Treatment
Be comfortable with and knowledgeable about Military Family Life and culture
Practice Trauma Informed care with Children and Adolescents
Owns/takes charge/directs Treatment for assigned cases within context of BRC accepted evidence-based treatment guidelines and Psychiatrist’s oversight of case.
Authors the comprehensive treatment plans and updates it monthly, setting goals congruent with Psychiatric Assessment and Discharge Criteria.
For assigned cases, provides direction, support, and coordinates interventions by all disciplines
Is main contact person for families and is available to families
Completes required documents in timely fashion: Social History, Treatment Plans, Weekly Summary, Therapy notes, Discharge Summary.
Conducts Individual Therapy, Family Therapy, Group Therapy as per treatment plan.
