The Director of Nursing for Children’s Hospital and Women’s Health reports to the Service Line Administrator of the Children’s Hospital and the Service Line Administrator for Women’s Health. Under limited supervision, the Director of Nursing for Children’s Hospital and Women’s Health provides clinical leadership and direction to inpatient areas of the Children’s Hospital and Perinatal Service, directing all clinical and support activities. This role directs the delivery of services ensuring integration with service line initiatives, performance improvement measures, strategic, business, and organizational goals/objectives. This position collaborates with academic units to promote and support academic research opportunities within the Children’s Hospital and Perinatal Services.
A master’s degree in nursing and five years pediatric and women's leadership experience and prior director level experience in a Children's Hospital; or a master’s degree in a related healthcare field or management with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and five (5) years experience. Position requires extensive knowledge of management and leadership principles, budgeting methods and services related to area of responsibility.
