In this position, you’ll deliver clinical genetic services to patients who have or are at risk of inherited medical conditions. This will involve coordinating genetic testing, analyzing lab data, developing working diagnoses, reporting test results to patients and referring physicians, making referrals when necessary, and conducting individual and group counseling sessions to provide information and guidance regarding diseases and treatment plans. Additionally, you’ll serve as an educational resource for residents and students from various disciplines. Previous experience in a clinical laboratory
Experience with genetic counseling billing codes and the Epic EMR system
Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling
At least 3 years of post-graduate clinical experience as a genetic counselor (includes experience in a genetics clinic)
Current board certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and/or the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics
