Prepares all meals for the patients, doctors, convent, visitors, associates and special functions. Follows standard procedures and recipes to maintain high standards and performance. Complies with all sanitation requirements as required by law. Fills-in in other areas of the department when needed.
Prepares, seasons and cooks for all parties with-in the hospital.
Prepares food that look good and is pleasing in appearance and good texture.
Seasons food to taste and is seasoned correctly according to the patient's diet.
Prepares correct amounts for the patient census.
Is aware of the time and has the food prepared and ready to serve at correct times.
Responsible for sanitation in the production area on a work as you go basis and at the end of the shift.
Keeps work area clean at all times.
Disposes of excess garbage on a continuous basis.
Keeps all counter tops free of waste.
Returns items to the correct storage area when finished using them.
Keeps floors in work station clear at all times.
Insures proper sanitation and storage of food items.
Always labels and dates products after they have been opened and placed back in storage.
Always covers, labels and dates products before storage.
Follows safety guidelines with regard to proper storage and serving temperatures.
Checks food in refrigeration and discards all items that are over 48 hours old.
Performs other duties as required or directed.
Works with other supervisors to achieve the goals of the department, which is to improve customer service, associate and patient satisfaction.
Willing to work in other capacities to further the service to our customers.
Will to work overtime if needed to complete the job.
