Essential Duties: • Teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in Communication Sciences and Disorders • Clinical supervision in the university’s clinic and/or off-campus clinical sites • Academic advisement • Scholarly activities • Supervision of student research • Serve on Department, College, and University committees • Service to the campus and the community
• Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Communicative Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology or related area. ABDs will be considered. If ABD, applicants must complete all requirements for the doctorate by August 2018. • Minimum three years clinical experience in speech-language pathology • Earned ASHACCC-SLP • Qualified for immediate California licensure in speech-language pathology • Experience and/or potential for teaching in higher education • Experience and/or potential with clinical supervision • Evidence of, or potential for, research and scholarly activities, such as major presentations, publications, grants, and research • Experience and/or potential for university and community service • Ability to conduct off-campus supervision at a variety of sites in our region • Ability to interact successfully within a diverse academic learning community • Ability to work with students, staff, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds • Experience and/or potential for participation in department and university committees
IF A.B.D. status, a FORMAL Letter of Verification from the dissertation committee chair or doctoral program director indicating status and anticipated completion date should be uploaded along with your “Unofficial Transcripts”.

Sacramento State has been an education and training facility since 1952 for students preparing for careers in speech-language pathology and audiology.
Through the campus-based Maryjane Rees Language, Speech and Hearing Center graduate students evaluate and treat speech and language problems under close supervision by faculty who are nationally certified and state-licensed speech-language pathologists or audiologists.
