At McLeod Regional Medical Center, the Stroke Progressive Care Unit stands ready to treat stroke patients. MRMC in Florence is home to a specialized 14-bed Stroke Unit – the first in the region dedicated exclusively for the treatment and rehabilitation of people who have suffered a stroke.
The Stroke Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to address the holistic needs of patients and their significant others, during hospitalization, and preparation for discharge. Reporting to the Unit Director, the Registered Nurse may supervise the work of other Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and assist personnel in efforts to deliver care for a prescribed shift of time. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of care directly rendered and that he/she delegates to others.
Full time 72 hours biweekly. Rotating or Straight Night shifts with every other weekend and holidays. Call is required.
