Responsible for the daily operations of the assigned physician practices of Memorial Medical Associates (MMA). This includes but is not limited to regulatory agency compliance, staff allocation, productivity and resource allocation. Responsible for staff educational and compliance needs as they relate to job performance and expectations. Contributes to the development of an operational budget and is expected to maintain budgets as set forth from MMA Administration. Responsible for good communication development within each practice and responds to all practice needs in a timely manner.
Responsible to: Director of Practice Management, CFO, and CEO
Workers Supervised: Assigned MMA salaried and hourly staff.
Interrelationship: Acts as a liaison between departments of Memorial Healthcare (MH) and MMA.
III. Job Responsibilities for Assigned Medical Practices:
Assess, plan, organize and direct overall service operations of MMA.
A participant in goal development and oversight of medical office practices and operations as it relates to staff and ancillary support.
Ensure that educational needs of the staff are being met and maintained as dictated by regulatory agencies and organizational compliance.
Keep MMA administration informed of departmental activities within each medical office as it relates to operational activities and needs of the specific office practice.
Conduct monthly formal meetings with each medical office.
Assure adequate staffing, inventory, supplies, and physical space to facilitate efficient day-to-day operations of medical offices.
Actively participate in complaint resolution for physician and staff.
Serve as on-sight management for larger practices and other practices as needed (minimum of one-half day per week).
Accountable for meeting budget of medical practices.
Review, approve and forward all bills for MMA practices to Accounting.
Handle all coaching and discipline with all MMA office staff members.
Ninety (90) day and annual employee evaluations for all MMA office staff members.
Oversight and management of Operations Supervisor.
Assist in transition for new practice acquisition(s) to include staffing.
Receive and investigate all MMA patient complaints.
Demonstrates knowledge of and support of MH mission, vision and value statements, standard policies, procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality statement, corporate compliance plan and code of ethical behavior.
Act as a liaison with other departments in working collaboratively on projects as designated.
