PeaceHealth is seeking out an experience Palliative Care Physician for a System and Network Leadership role
Exciting opportunity for the Palliative Care Physician who would like to assist in designing and reinvigorating PeaceHealth's palliative care program integrating palliative care programs and initiatives that are already in place at PeaceHealth's locations which spans three states. The palliative care initiative was started by Dr. Bree Johnston, who has brought UCSF studies to our communities.
While leading the palliative care team, you also have the opportunity to provide on-the-ground in- and out-patient care in a vibrant multi-disciplinary team at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington and PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview, Washington.
PeaceHealth is passionate about growing palliative care and hospice services, and it needs a medical director to provide the collegial leadership for our programs across two communities, including by telemedicine. There are opportunities for precepting residents in family medicine. Hospitalist teams at both facilities are familiar with palliative medicine, and they are eager for more on-the-ground resources to meet their patients' needs. Potential opportunities partnering with Oregon Health and Sciences University on research will come with this role as well.
We envision our program growing to include outpatient services, first in oncology and then in other specialties (e.g. CHF, dementia, ESRD, etc.).
- Minimum of 2 years experience required.
- 3-5 years leadership experience preferred
- Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
