The region’s leading network of healthcare providers, Inspira Health Network is seeking
a Director of Infection Control to oversee the prevention and control of infection among patients, employees and visitors within the healthcare facility. Responsibilities will include supervising staff, developing and presenting educational programs on infection control and serving as a resource for all team members.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a bachelor's degree; related coursework required
Three years of clinical experience
Demonstrated competency in leadership
The ability to work independently with multiple stakeholders
Experience and demonstrated ability in researching, developing and presenting educational programs
Knowledge of the basic principles of general, clinical and environmental microbiology in the prevention and control of infection among patients, employees and visitors within the healthcare facility
Basic knowledge of epidemiological principles and statistical methods relevant to infection prevention
Current New Jersey State licensure as a registered nurse (if applicable) or certified medical technologist/microbiologist
Certificate designating completion of an approved course in infection control principles
Certification in infection control by national APIC Certification Board in infection control
Membership and participation in the Association for Professionals in Infection Control
