Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer for the Orange County Region the Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) provides executive leadership for all operational areas at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, providing strategic, analytical and operational leadership. The COO is an integral member of the Senior Leadership team that establishes and manages strategic initiatives, ensuring high quality, cost effective clinical outcomes. The COO is responsible for patient safety and satisfaction, ongoing planning, development, implementation and continuous improvement of the programs and services provided by Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, and for ensuring that the operations are in compliance with all federal, state, funding, and city regulations, certifications, and licensing requirements.
The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Business, or Management is required; MHA or MBA is preferred; Clinical degree/experience in a hospital setting preferred. Ten years in progressive, senior leadership roles is required. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills required. Highly analytical, with extensive hospital operations experience and demonstrative ability to develop complex business models. Demonstrative experience in overseeing Major construction projects.
