Assists and performs comprehensive credentialing duties in support of the System Credentialing Program. Responsible for ongoing interface and frequent communication with physicians, and allied health professional staff. Effectively supports efforts to coordinate change and innovation and foster teambuilding. May work with confidential information. POSITION DUTIES: Overall Rating * Level 1 - Skills 1.1 Assist with the verification process for assigned files and assemble the files for appropriate signatures. 1.2 Assemble all verified information and prepare files for presentation to appropriate department/committee. 1.3 Copy delineations for master notebooks. 1.4 Develop approval letters for each practitioner after Board of Directors meeting. 1.5 Maintain current documents within each credentialing file. 1.6 Assure data entry and maintains accurate rosters. Level 2 ? Proficient (in addition to above duties) 2.1 Maintain filing for assigned part of the alphabet. 2.2 Report any barriers/concerns to Credentialing Specialist II in a timely manner. 2.3 Prepare and supply data to various hospital departments. 2.4 Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks according to urgency. Develop a routine that allows for maximum use of time. Exhibit ability to effectively multitask. Level 3 ? Subject Matter Expert (in addition to above duties) 3.1 Demonstrate computer skills relevant to credentialing and medical staff services. 3.2 Participate in quality improvement measures within the department. 3.3 Utilize medical and other terminology applicable to credentialing and medical staff services.
